 in spots.

Plenty of room to work without jacking the engine. I was going to do motor
mounts at the same time but didn’t as I just didn’t want to take that much
 on.

Definitely needed. The car idles so smoothly it’s amazing.

Dummy me - I had bought a box of Bosch plugs (10) for the job, not paying
attention to the quantity. Had to run out to FLAPS and buy two more plugs
 - luckily they had them in stock. Counter guy was puzzled. “Why you want
 only two plugs?”

Plugs on the M112/3 are required about every 75k-100k. I have service records
on this car, so I knew it was due, as well as having looked at one and seen
that the electrode was pretty worn.

While I expected a difference, more in mileage than actual running, I was
surprised at how much smoother the idle is since the change.

I’m wondering now if should change plugs on the $600E320. About 240kmi. It
idles a bit rough. The PO seems to have kept up on maintenance items though.

[MBZ] S210 Spark Plugs

2020-03-16 Thread Dan Penoff via Mercedes
Did the plugs on the 1998 wagon yesterday. Piece of cake, took me under an hour
total. I was thinking it was worse, probably because the last spark plug job I

Plenty of room to work without jacking the engine. I was going to do motor
mounts at the same time but didn’t as I just didn’t want to take that much on.

Dummy me - I had bought a box of Bosch plugs (10) for the job, not paying
attention to the quantity. Had to run out to FLAPS and buy two more plugs -
luckily they had them in stock. Counter guy was puzzled. “Why you want only two
