Spoke to my friend and he says the 240D is still there - I sent this out

A friend has a '80 240D with about 150k miles on it located in
Richmond Va
he'd like to get sell. He bought it for his daughter who drove it
for
several years before buying something else and selling it to a
neighbor.
The car was driven until several months ago when it wouldn;t start
and the
owner left it in the driveway needing a battery we think. The owner
moved
to Germany and didn't want to spend $100 on a new battery. The title
has
been signed and will not be a problem.
The car is light yellow with tan interior (IIRC) - auto trans, manual
windows, -
fast glow plug kit and was serviced by the book until it failed to
start.
The engine smokes slightly at startup but runs well and the AT shifts
fine.
If interested, send me a note directly and I'll provide a phone
number.
He wants to get $500 for it. Would be an excellent driver or parts
car.
It's
such a nice car I'd really like someone to buy it drive it instead
of
parting it out
but what happens, happens. ;-)
