I'd prefer to trade rather than sell my 1997 Mercedes Benz S320 for a 
Mercedes Diesel of equal value.
My car is in very good condition but shows the wear of being as old as 
it is.
The mileage is 256K which is relatively low when figured to less than 
11000 each year since purchase. Look some of the pictures over to get a 
better feel for this car. It is a 6 cylinder (not a gas guzzler at all 
but does burn only PREMIUM/Hi Test fuel). The MICHELINS have about 10K 
miles on them

suppose if you have a spare engine it would be a reasonable deal at

Offer nothing, the car is not even parts quality.  From the looks of it, the 
car has been sitting in that spot for many many years.  Sun damage to the seats 
speaks of decades.  Motor is shot, transmission shot, must smell something 
awful inside.

Driver’s seat side bolster is trashed.  Passenger side inside bolster is worn, 
too, which is really weird.

Welting around door openings is trashed.

Door cards are dirty

Whew!  Bottom of driver’s door is rusty AND missing weatherstripping

Same for rear doors

Rear window weatherstrip is dried out and cracked badly

Engine compartment is a mess

Rear window trim is out of place

Ooops! Rust hole in front fender in the usual spot

I sent them a message and asked for photos of the inside of the trunk.  I’m 
betting there are gaping holes in it based on the condition of the rear window 
weatherstripping.

Speaking of cheap beaters, my parents still have my brother's 300SDL.

It does have some body rust (over rear wheel arches), blower motor
(porcupine?), driveline vibes (carrier bearing?), needs a chain tensioner,
and an A/C compressor (Klima replaced)

It MAY need the IP delivery seals done.  IIRC it is over 250k on it.

It has had: oil cooler lines replaced within past 10k, new tranny with in
past 50k, rear trailing arl (left?) replaced due to rot allowing spring to
drop out bottom within past 50k.  It has fairly new rubber (turanza?) on
it.

It starts and runs/drives. It is in White Marsh, MD.  What is it worth?
