Re: [MBZ] Track Time and MBCA events
John, Werner is right on.. MBCA has lots to offer from building friendships and camaraderie to going out on a track and doing a true Italian Tune Up. and lots of stuff in between. Go for it! Event costs vary, depending on whether you are helping rent track time, enjoying a good dinner, or just attending a show and tell. I've seen everything from free (admittedly rare nowadays) to several hundred dollars, such as Starfest, where we have 3 days of track time, 2 banquets and a reception. Here in South Jersey, we try to have a few $5 dollar events, where we make a buck or two for the section and contribute the rest to a charity for things like going to the Philly auto show, or a small tech event at an indy shop. You just should keep taking a look at the various web sites, starting with www.mbca.org, which can lead you to special events and also section web sites. In your case, checking in on www.gws-mbca.org would make sense. Werner - Original Message - From: John W. Re: [MBZ] Track Time and MBCA events
Yeah! I want to see how fast those E300Dt can go! :) :) Normally for an italian tuneup, I'd head out past Hagerstown (towards Deep Creek Lake) on I-70 and get really leadfooted. I've seen more than one BIG ball of black smoke belch forth from the rear of the car doing that... They seem to make a difference and I drive a lot of highway miles! -j. -- John Reames 1985 300d (223K Gerta) 1991 Cherokee (149K the fishbowl) 1999 E300Dt (140K Hans) 1999 E300Dt (106K Frantz) -- Original message -- From: Chuck Landenberger [EMAIL PROTECTED] Werner is right on..
