[MBZ] change of settings on the list?

2014-07-14 Thread Randy Bennell via Mercedes
All messages are coming through as from Mercedes Discussion List but
also from the individual and if I just reply, without deleting the
individual, then I am guessing that they get 2 copies of my response.

That is different than it was last week.

Its due to changes made yesterday to eliminate the bounces that people have
been dealing with. Just hit Reply and don't worry about it, or delete the
individual from the recipient list.

Are we then going to get duplicates of all posts or does it get stripped
out in some manner?

Duplicates every time somebody hits the reply button on something you posted.
I deleted you from the recipient list on this one, so you should only get one
copy.

Ok, I only got the one but the To when I Reply shows both your email
and the list email.
What I have been getting all day is only one copy but shown as from the
list.
I have to say I like it better when it shows the name of the person as
the sender.
If it shows the list name, then it is difficult to find a posting after
the fact.

Thunderbird has a Reply List button that only sends it to the list. A
Reply (not Reply All) does both.

There are no posts in my spam bucket today, and Curt has been posting! I
think that Kleb's change fixed the issue. I can live with deleting the
original poster from my reply (if I can remember to look first).

Right now, Kleb has the reply going to both the poster and the list.

If he could have it go only to the list, I think we would have it made.

(BTW, isn't the list software supposed to detect that an additional copy
is being sent straight to the original poster and delete the one from the
list to the original poster?)
