You tip the bucket down, and drag it backwards to level stuff - our
neighbor does that with the bucket on his backhoe.

2019-03-01 Thread G Mann via Mercedes
Check around, somewhere in your area is a heavy haul trucker with a Landoll
lowboy trailer. The Landoll trailer is a roll back type capable of doing
heavy hauls for equipment. Since the lift is 11 ft tall, you need a lowboy
trailer to clear overpasses and bridges...

Expect load and transport fees. The trailers with a heavy haul tractor cost
in the $500,000 range so they have to make load fees count.

I used one last to move a D9 Cat out to the ranch to do a "little dirt
leveling" [terraced the side of a mountain and leveled 3 acres] . Delivery
and load out when finished cost me a bit over $2,500, but it was a 200 mile
turn to get to the Ranch and back, each way... D9 weighed in at a bit over
80,000 lbs, so I thought it was worth it.

Check around your area. Tractor dealers, etc. often own their own to
deliver big farm equipment and pick it up.. Might be a good source for you.
Good luck !

Poor marketing. Should state "has a little surface rust, about the size of

THat is consistent with salt spray encountered in windward areas near
salt water.

Holy. Or should I say “holey”?

My great aunt lived around Daytona Beach in the late 1920s, when Florida was
still a sort of “wild west” place before the land boom. She wore pants, packed
a pistol to shoot the ‘gators that would sun themselves on the front porch of
her cabin, etc., etc.

She talked about how the Notherners would come down there, and while visiting,
would drive their cars out on the beach and wash them in the surf. She thought
that was funny as heck, knowing that they were just accelerating the rusting
process…
