[MBZ] idle speed to low?

2006-02-25 Thread Hans Neureiter
My E300D idles at ~600 RPM and this seems a little low. Annoying vibration
that smoothens out at ~700 RPM, but I can't get there.
What is the normal RPM ? I understand there is something but don't know
where that changes the idle speed when unplugged.
I am a total idiot when it comes to the 124's.
Thanks for any pointers.

Hans,

I just went through a GP ordeal with my e300d and found that the intake
gets all caked up with soot. The stuff was about an inch thick all
around restricting air by almost half. Remove the intake and have it
cleaned out. Maybe soak it and use a soft brush to allow more air to
the engine. Idle is 600 and fairly smooth.
