Re: [MBZ] olde macs
I swore I would keep it forever, as it?s the last dual-boot mac. (Well, except for the new intel duo ones with Bootcamp) The last dual-boot Mac is later than mine. When Firewire 800 was introduced, Classic was no more. I've been looking into this because not only is 867mhz a bit slow for X-Plane, a flight simulator, but my box's video card is not fast enough to render the scenery fast enough. I've been watching Craigslist locally for one of these and the used prices seem to hovering around $800. RLE

Gosh, I really feel out of step! I moved up to a BW G3 this year from a beige, really thought it was a big step! Peter

I've sold some Apple total trash on EBay to guys in Japan for big bucks. Don't know why but Japan is lusting after old Apple stuff. An Apple II+ brought almost $300 plus shipping -- I took it out of someone's trash. I'd think an early Mac would bring $500 and a well, something really desirable. Best I can tell, they (the Japs) are gutting the Apple motherboards for music synthesizers or something like that. Must be a chip (not to be confused with as Richmond area Chip) thing. The only thing on EBay that brought me more profit than Apple II was Drum and Bugle Corps record albums -- an easy $200 for stuff found at GoodWill for $1. Times five or so! D. Roger, hit OWC and get a processor upgrade for $200 and maybe one of those snazzy ATI Radeon 9800 cards too On Sep 25, 2006, at 7:44 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I swore I would keep it forever, as it?s the last dual-boot mac. I sold a Pippin to a guy in japan. Made a mint on that, as it was complete in the box with a few games. think I got $780 for a $25 investment.
