to control the use of their music, their choice.  No exceptions.

The Dems got into a bit of hot water the same way, same thing, using  
music by original group without permission.  Seems to be catching.

Copyrighted material does NOT become public domain just because it's  
a political function, a fine point that seems to be escaping campaign  
organizers recently.

She's a politician, not one of the greatest science minds of her time.
Maybe we should compare her to other hot politicians, like John Fitzgerald 
Kennedy. And yes, people did mention his physical appearance back in the day.

Mrs Palin may (or may not) be the one of the greatest science 
minds, (my personal heros).
The question in my mind is will she be evaluated by the electorate on 
merit or cuteness? I never thought that JFK made a good, or even 
decent, Prez. Heresy in this part of the world. It was a beauty 
contest run by the media at the behest of the handlers.

I have not made mention of her physical attributes, but those of her  
barracuda like tenacity in dealing with issues close to her.   I have  
noticed that most women's wear is meant to attract attention from male  
and female alike.  There are a number of womyn who chose to divorce  
themselves from this trend and look like wandering sacks of coal.
