[MBZ] wire laundry baskets?

2011-01-11 Thread Allan Streib
On the subject of laundry, I'm getting tired of the plastic laundry baskets
that crack and fall apart in a few months. I looked on Amazon for wire laundry
baskets but could not find any. Anyone know of a source for lightweight chrome
or plastic-coated wire baskets that are about the size of a typical laundry
basket?

Check organize.com; 'may not be big enough, though - 14 x 14 x 11.

We have a rubbery one that is quite soft and flexible. Not sure it it
was intended to be a laundry basket but is about the right size and has
handles cut into it etc. Seems to work quite well. Not sure how long it
will last but seems to be tougher than the hard plastic ones.

We found some heavy duty plastic Rubbermaid ones at Target at least 10 years
ago that are still fine. They are a bit larger than I like - as you can
stuff more than a load of laundry into them. They won't die so I can replace
them with smaller ones though ---

Commercial fishermen use this type down here in Florida. They also use
metal baskets.

Google: Commercial fishermens baskets
They should hold up better than laundry baskets.
