Hi Jim - After reviewing your memoirs I think I may have found the paint code - I have a 122 on the radiator support plate and the dataplate info (found at http://old.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/view.html according to my notes - I must have found that link on the MB list I think) which has 122 also - and Paintscratch also shows a 122 Mother of Pearl Metal Gray with 7122 for the lower panels. Actually I'm not sure what to do with the plastic lower panels. My first thought was to use the same color (122) as the primary color* and ask my paint supplier what kind if paint do I need for the plastic - things like additives, or even a different kind of paint like a single stage paint, etc. Now I'm thinking I need to go with the 7122 as called out in Paintscratch.com. Hopefully, I'll find some more info on the car somewhere. Paintscratch says the number for the secondary color can be hard to find (oh really?) * = that's what it looks like now - the Paintscratch.com color renditions show a light gray top and dark gray lower panels. That's definitely not what the car looks like in person. But I still have a little time to think this through - I can do some prep work before the weekend - then shoot the primer, sand, mask, etc. Thanks! We'll get there! LarryT 91 300D OilAnalysis Time?
