No idea, check you tube? In general, if anything like a 124 car: disconcert both batteries (I think your car has two?). Remove airbag from steering wheel. Remove steering wheel. I don't know anything about cars that new but my '83 240D once had trouble with the wipers and the problem was the stalk being dirty. In my case the solution was to pop the end of the stalk off, think pulling it apart horizontally. Then I coated the contacts with DeOxit and put it back together. I don't remember the details, it was more than 10 years ago. Otherwise a replacement of the stalk would have been required, cleaning was a much better solution... -Curt On Tuesday, March 3, 2020, 5:09:49 PM EST, Robert Koziak via Mercedes wrote: Hi All, Today I took out my 2004 Mercedes Benz E320 (89K) 4Matic for it's annual NYS inspection. The wipers do work when I pushed in the arm to activate the wiper fluid for a cleaning. I don't remember the last time I checked the wipers. I checked the fuses even though the wiper motor did work in the wash position so there is power. Research pointed to a faulty "combination switch". Sorry. But in general, ou are on the right track. You know the motor is okay. I would source a wiring diagram and start looking for where washer and wiper circuits differ. Next I would look for relays. Maybe there is a different relay or control power path for "normal" vs "washer". ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Bob K ___ Isn't there a procedure relating to turn signals that don't work where one pushes in the hazard lights switch 100 times to fix it? Would it help to just work the wiper switch a whole lot of times in an effort to wear off any oxidation on the switch contacts since this is a car that sits a lot?
