Re: [MBZ] 2005 E320 CDI - 175k miles - $7,500
In SC we have salvage titles. I know this because I have some! I don’t think there are rebuilt titles here, never seen one --FT Sent from iFōn > On May 9, 2023, at 5:30 PM, dan penoff.com via Mercedes > wrote: > > I think this is where things get sort of fuzzy between states. > > In Florida, you can have a “salvage” title and register the vehicle and drive > it. I think this is where things get sort of fuzzy between states. In Florida, you can have a “salvage” title and register the vehicle and drive it. If the car was “totaled”, it has to be inspected to get a “rebuilt” title. My 1995 S500 coupe that came from Tarek had a salvage title. Mrs. Dan’s SL500 had a rebuilt title. YMMV -D > On May 9, 2023, at 5:12 PM, Buggered Benzmail via Mercedes > wrote: > > I think KY has different color titles to designate rebuilt, salvage, and > clean. I think KY has different color titles to designate rebuilt, salvage, and clean. I vaguely recall seeing this somewhere --FT Sent from iFōn > On May 9, 2023, at 4:40 PM, Allan Streib via Mercedes > wrote: > > "spent over $5000 in the last few months to make it perfect" > > Salvage title, means it needs to be inspected and upgraded to "rebuilt" to > register it? > > https://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/d/louisville-mercedes-e320-cdi-2005/7619286578.html > > > ___ > http://www.okiebenz.com > > To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ > > To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: > http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com > ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Does the $5000 include what you paid for it at the salvage auction? And by "salvage", do you mean "rebuilt", or is it up to the buyer to make sure it passes inspection and retitle it?
