That’s what they were known for - pulling outrageous stuff like this, then 
fighting tooth and nail over making things right - or not.

I seem to recall some really outrageous stories about wheels and engines, too. 
I wonder what their BBB profile looks like?

OUTDOOR covers for my W108 and C107. The 108 cover was a dusty, ancient, cotton

glass so I paid and it came. When I opened the 
package I found a Mercedes box that was opened and

symbol of any kind on it so it wasn't Bosch,

Well, I'll give you another data point from years ago.  Back around 2000, I 
needed a glow plug relay for my 1980 300SD.  MB wanted my wallet and first born 
so nothing there.  I tried a used one, but as the SD was still in change, the 
prior years didn't work correctly.  Finally, I found one for the 1980 at ADSIT. 
 The price was more than a used one on eBay, but far less than a new MB unit.  
I got it, installed it and almost 20 years later it's still on the car working 
properly.  I had no problems with ADSIT, a smooth transaction.  There's an old 
expression, "you'll get more with an ounce of sugar than a pound of salt".  
Business is business, try the sugar first.
