That'd be a post-'64 though I imagine, serial number in the several million range? This was a pre-1964 Winchester Model 94, serial number just over 1 million, original blueing still 75% intact. A fairly rare rifle at best. -Curt Date: Wed, 21 Nov 2007 18:34:19 -0600 From: Loren Faeth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Diesel bulletproofness & OT: Gun surprise To: Mercedes Discussion List Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Wow! where are you? Hey Mitch - Thanks for those gun seller sites - I registered with Gunbroker after finding some Taurus PT111 magazines I had been looking for - And to top it off their FFL holders close to me have firing ranges I will be able to use. Only for pistol so I have to wait to fire my rifles but at least they're close enough to keep my pistol skills up. Re: [MBZ] Diesel bulletproofness & OT: Gun surprise
You can't sell guns on eBay... Selling guns is alot about finding the right person at the right time. I don't think I've ever seen a lever action Stevens, I also don't think I've seen a Stevens deer rifle. They made ALOT of cheap .22s and some shotguns. I might be wrong though. If it were lets say an average Marlin or post-64 Winchester you'd be looking at a $400-$500 gun assuming good condition. Pre-'64 adds value but not a tremendous amount on an off brand like Stevens. For comparison Dad got a pre-'64 Winchester m94 (really nice, probably worth $800 on its own) a double barrel shotgun, a .357 pistol and a couple pellet guns from a kid he works with after the kid's Dad died. Paid something like $700 for the lot. Except the 10/22 generally ships with the worlds uglyest stock Dad's got one of those training rifles too, his is Polish I think. We've got it stashed under a bed in the camp.
