Respondent acknowledged that he was convicted, by a no contest plea, of 136 counts of criminal contempt of court in People of the State of Michigan v Howard Alan Katz, Case No. 05-405-SM. Additionally, respondent pled no contest to the allegations that he engaged in a pattern of improper collection activities; and failed to personally assure the accuracy of pleadings filed with the court in two separate matters, as alleged in Formal Complaint 06-75-GA. --- In my town, a court appointed guardian (attorney Charles Zwick) stole hundreds of thousands from ill people in nursing homes after the local idiot judges put him in charge of their affairs without proper bonding or oversight. The people who were robbed got nothing to my knowledge, he put everything in his wife's name and she divorced him. I'd like to see the victims sue the judges who gave their money to Zwick. This is what the Michigan Bar had to say about him: Charles M. Zwick, P 33762, Grand Ledge, Michigan. Effective January 4, 2007. Respondent's plea of guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and conspiracy to commit social security fraud, in violation of 18 USC §371, was accepted in the United States District Court, Western District of Michigan, Southern Division, on January 4, 2007. Based upon the acceptance of his guilty plea, and in accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended on that date. Upon the filing of a judgment of conviction, this matter will be assigned to a hearing panel for further proceedings. The same thing happens to quacky MDs. It's almost impossible to revoke their credentials, no matter how many people they injure, becuase the peers who judge them are reluctant to take such drastic steps.
