$10k is psycho money for that car in its current condition.

It’s been resprayed, at least around the radiator support, as you can see where 
there are parts that have been masked off.  They would be standard black if 
they were original.  Hinges and sills are correct, so whoever repainted it 
either did a very thorough job or that’s the original color.

Not a bad looking car, but things like the corrosion on the battery terminals 
tells me this has not been maintained as well as the seller might suggest.

Good point.  If the owner repainted with a "pretty close to matching red"
color then the value plummets.

original paint, can it?  My 71 250 was RED like sports car red. This looks like

Douglas Xtra-Trac II. 
I bought some Douglas for the Taurus 15 years ago because they were the 
cheapest things at W-Mart and a broken front spring had holed one of the 
Continentals that were on it. I think they were Max-Trac back then. Decent 
tires, good traction, good wear, no casing flaws, I think I paid $42 plus 
balancing for them.
