Re: [MBZ] OT - Dynamic DNS hosting services
Use Dyndns. If you search on cnet, they also have a utility that runs in the tray that keeps your IP up to date. Far better way of doing it than through the router. -Original Message- From: mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com [mailto:mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com] On Behalf Of OK Don Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2008 9:12 PM To: Mercedes Discussion List; Linux Discussion List Subject: [MBZ] OT - Dynamic DNS hosting services Anyone have a recommendation for a service to use, or avoid? The Linksys router comes with clients for http://www.tzo.com/ and dyndns.org(com?). Seems like an easy route to follow, so ther has to be a 'gotcha'. Don't have a domain name yet either --- but think it's time to put up a server for all the photos. -- OK Don ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
