Use Dyndns. If you search on cnet, they also have a utility that runs in the
tray that keeps your IP up to date. Far better way of doing it than through
the router.

Linksys router comes with  clients for http://www.tzo.com/ and
dyndns.org(com?). Seems like an easy route to follow, so ther has to
be a 'gotcha'.
Don't have a domain name yet either --- but think it's time to put up
a server for all the photos.

DynDNS is the service to use - I've used them for years.
