You should have the wrench for installing/removing the top manually. If you don’t you need to get one. When I bought one (107) I drove to get it in the SL with the soft top up. Thus transport was a cinch. That top is still hanging in the garage. The car has it's own on it now, I have not pulled it off yet. The pistons probably don't work so I don't want to fool with it really, but I suppose I should pop it off at some point.
