Re: [MBZ] power seat
I did a BW check and it comes back that the Gen II use a relay, while the Gen I use line voltage to play with the seats. I am going to try to use the guts from the Gen II to rebuild the Gen I clay > On Mar 22, 2017, at 5:00 AM, Dan--- via Mercedes> wrote: > > Check the BW forum, but if my memory serves me correctly the differences are > significant due to the inclusion of the memory function in the Gen II > controls. > > -D > > Sent from my iPad > >> On Mar 22, 2017, at 12:25 AM, clay via Mercedes >> wrote: >> >> The seat controls on the 300SD are sort of messed up. Check the BW forum, but if my memory serves me correctly the differences are significant due to the inclusion of the memory function in the Gen II controls. -D Sent from my iPad > On Mar 22, 2017, at 12:25 AM, clay via Mercedeswrote: > > The seat controls on the 300SD are sort of messed up. Re: [MBZ] power seat question 1983 300SD
The drive cable ends have a tendency to come loose from the housing which lets the square drive end of the spiral disengage from the hub. What can be done about this? Is it threaded and simply needs to be retightened to bring the end back into the hub? I haven't mounted the seat yet, so I can just pull it out, flip it over, correct the problem and put it right back in for GOOD. By the time I get this thing working, I'll be the official list expert on W126 power seats! I do have both old seats to use as parts and as guinea pigs so it won't be too tragic if I ruin one rather than ruining the good seat.
