Re: [MBZ] question about CD-ROM repair manuals
ALSO, do the job descriptions give the TIME that it is supposed to take to complete the job? They don't even list all the steps. They are intended for EXPERT mechanics. Nonetheless, the contain vital information. It's just that they have ONLY the vital information. -- Jim ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] question about CD-ROM repair manuals
I see them on e-bay for like $35 - seems like they are pirated copies of the Mercedes CD sold for $100 - is that right? If not, is the stuff scanned from MB manuals? Are they good? I had purchased the correct manuals for my 123 on EBay. I bought a cheap one for the 201 on EBay and it ended up being a Mitchell repair CD. I ended up buying one from MBUSA for 60 or so bucks. ALSO, do the job descriptions give the TIME that it is supposed to take to complete the job? Not in any that I have. Re: [MBZ] question about CD-ROM repair manuals
The original CDs from MB are scanned copies of the paper manuals - at least the one's I have. Yes - most of the one's on eBay are copies of the MB manuals. ALSO, do the job descriptions give the TIME that it is supposed to take to complete the job? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA uh, no. Ask here. A friend of mine bought some and the quality was subnormal. He brought them by to try various CDROM readers I had to see if we could read them. One drive did, so he was happy. Obviously the cheapest drives and media is used I'd expect. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] question about CD-ROM repair manuals
The paper manuals have the best image quality, at least for the older cars. But the older CDs are very reasonable (like $20) from http://www.mbusa.com/heritage/index.do under Classic Center, Technical Literature. Maybe even cheaper than pirated copies for some models.
