Sounds like your Indy may be a interesting character, but hes got good
trouble shooting skills. This is hard to find.

around $150 a few years ago. Curses! Hit fleabay. yeah, they know what

opening bid. Found a guy in Kalifornia who parted an early M117 and put 7
injectors up. Sold five, wants $75 each. I make an offer and get the last
two for $100 both. Shipped and should arrive in time for installation when
 the German parts come in.

But why does my indy still look at me like I am a complete idiot and I
piss him off that I have an old car?

He has some attitude. Tossed one idiot out of the shop for constantly bringing
his car in and complaining about tire pressure. Told indy he was cheating him
when he ended up with more pressure in the tire after telling him to put it to
32psi. Would drive home, measure it, up, get mad, leak it to 32, then come
back in with low pressure.

Another dipstick demanded that the oil remain at full mark. Came back after
oil change or service and got mad the oil was at mid point. Put it to the
full mark! Why are you cheating me and not putting in all the oil? I think
this went on four time before indy told him to never come back to the shop and
paid for oil change at spiffy lube.

Exactly the sort of experiences I had as a wrench in a foreign car shop
while in college - great incentive to complete the education and get
another job.
Clown brought in a clapped out Spitfire, wants points and plugs, but do I
REALLY need a new condenser? and How much to time it after you change the
parts?, then the water pump let go half a block from the shop after he
left - accused us of sabotaging his car, etc. ---

Great mechanic. Nice guy, if you do not have car in need of repair. I guess
he gets his tights tangled when folks bugger up a perfectly fine car. At least
that seems to be the attitude. Views himself as being correct and you brought
the car to him to fix, so pipe down and stop breaking the thing. Why are you
even driving it? Must you drive it? All you are going to do it break it again.
