Amen.

Rev 2.6.1 for at least a week (if not more).

I think we'll need far less testing than the IDE, mind you.

I send that from a hidden Rev fld but have also done so with a Rev

Re: Directory to URL?

2003-06-20 Thread sims
Is it possible to set the directory to a Web-based URL to get a list of
files?
I've been trying the following without success:

  set the directory to url "http://www.myserver.com/test/";
  set the directory to url "ftp://ftp.myserver.com/test/";
set the directory to url "ftp://uname:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/test/"
Result = "Can't open directory."

Am I missing the obvious?

I can do this with my account by using the following:

  put url "ftp://username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/public_html/"

For access I need to use the public_html link to get to the server space
provided for me and then whatever dir I want.
By doing so I get the usual server welcome/information data plus the following
data with the file list - Name SizeKindLast Modified

QT movies, Macs & PC's

2002-04-15 Thread sims

I have a project which will include a 9 to 12 minute demo movie
which has a classical music soundtrack. This material will be
played from either a rev app or a small set of html pages which will be
placed on a CD for distribution.

Initial thoughts are to use sorensen 3 encoding to ensure there
is enough room on the CD.

Any suggestions on codecs , mpg-mov-etc, or otherwise which will
help ensure the movie is playable on Mac & PC/Windows are welcomed.

sockets - sending email attachments

Title: sockets - sending email

I have merged
two sockets email scripts I after looking
through the

except for attachments over 250k (approx) in size.
Smaller

tabStops

2001-05-13 Thread Jim Sims

Is there a way to limit the number of tab stops that a line can have?

I would like to only have a user be able to input the tab key four
times per line in a field...they seem get confused when they see that
they can keep tabbing.

I have it set to: 230,370,460,600

If I use: 230,370,460,600,601 it will *almost* achieve what I want
but still lets them keep tabbing.

Is there some sort of "tabStopsNumber" or some sort of limiting
thing I can use?

compression & type-creator code

2001-02-22 Thread Jim Sims

I am using:

on mouseUp
   answer file "which"
   put it into tFile
put tFile & ".gz" into tNewFile
put compress(url ("binfile:" & tFile)) into url ("binfile:" & tNewFile)
end mouseUp

This will produce a compressed file that opens with 'StuffIt Expander'
and the resulting decompressed file works fine after I have changed
the Type & Creator code (I use 'Snitch').

Is there a way to eliminate this last step (setting the T&C code) so
that the decompressed file is usable right away after decompressing
with 'StuffIt Expander'?
