That's funny. The guy that delights in the hilarity is miffed and expects
someone to take advice that he insisted someone is incapable of
understanding.

I like it, gram counter that is. Sounds like the stuff a good infomercial is
made of.

 Chicago Steve,
You probably mean a scale. (What the hell is a gram
counter? - that would more aptly refer to a little guide book
for people on a low carb diet! )
As Darren mentions, the higher the weight limit the
more you will pay for fine measuring. IF a scale can be had
at any price that goes to 1 Kg and down to 1/1000 gr I would
be astonished and certain it would cost thousands of dollars.
FURTHERMORE, you would need to have it calibrated in
place and then not move it.
However, more importantly, I would like to suggest
you discover a website named google - there, instead of
asking people interested in meteorites about this and dozens
of other questions you have asked, you can type in scales
and click on google search and they will provide you with
57,700,000 websites offering scales for sale with endless
information from upper and lower limits to price, etc. This
information is absolutely accurate, as these are sites offering
 these scales for sale, today.
 Please acquaint yourself with google!
 Best wishes, Michael

Hi list.I am looking for a new gram counter that will

1000ths.Does anyone know where to look for these?Any
 help will be appreciated.

You'll probably have to be prepaired to pay a heck of a lot of money to
 get a
scale that is both precise to 1/1000th of a gram and has a kilo
 capacity.
That's a seriously high upper-limit for that kind of precision in a
 scale.

[meteorite-list] Grand Teton fireball film information request

2007-06-16 Thread MARK BOSTICK

Hello all,

I am trying to locate the rights holder of the famous Grand Teton fireball
film and associated photographic stills for an associate editor at Astronomy
Magazine. James M. Baker shot the film, but no longer owns the rights to its
use in the media. I need a solid lead--like a name, a town, a phone number,
an address. And well as a copy of the footage, in a digital format, and a
high-resolution still from the film.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Clear Skies,
Mark Bostick

[meteorite-list] Pictures of Etched Uracu Slices

2007-06-16 Thread David Kitt Deyarmin
Today I spent some time finishing a few of the Uruacu slices I have
available for sale.

This is a difficult iron to etch but I think I did a pretty good job for a
novice

You can see pictures of them at:

Let me know what think.

Thanks
