[meteorite-list] AD: Ohio Meteorite Collection

2016-07-30 Thread almitt2--- via Meteorite-list

To those members on the List who might be interested,

I have 8 Ohio meteorites, most of which are impossible to find or even
buy, available. The items are pieces from my own personal collection. I
would rather sell the whole group but would consider offers on a piece
or several.

Please email me at: almitt2atlocalnet.com for more details and listings
and weights.

Thanks for your interest.

No, not at all disrespectful. Realistic.

Time to put your meteorwrong to bed and move onto something else that doesn't
involve the meteorite community.

Cheers,
John

John A. Shea,

That email was sent to me privately and I responded privately and only to those
members that Jason Utas originally sent it to. I gave Jason Utas the right to
go public and debate the meteoritic topics/ issues only if he wanted to do so.

What you did was very disrespectful.

With respect, why are these people (Ann Cain, Glyn Howard) not blocked from the
metlist yet?

This is clearly a scam, or the work of foolish people who refuse to listen to
reason. Either way, we should not all be forced to receive their emails for
years on end when they are clearly not representing an actual interest of any

[meteorite-list] Help with "Datil" Meteorite

2016-07-30 Thread Ruben Garcia via Meteorite-list
Hi all,

I just purchased a large meteorite collection of over 100 falls. In
the collection are some very rare specimens, but there is one that
I've never heard of.

It's called "Datil" and listed as a New Mexico fall but it is not in
the Met-Bull.

Here is a bit of info I found on the internet but does not explain why
it never made it into the Met-Bull.
http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/meteorite-extremely-datil-mexico-28g-139556105

This seems like it could be Cottingham related but not sure...

Maybe it is called something else?

Any info is appreciated...
