[meteorite-list] We Have A Neghbor

2016-08-24 Thread Sterling K. Webb via Meteorite-list
Hi,

We have a neghboring planet
only 4 light years away. It's
small, earthlike, in the
habitable zone of its star,
yada-yada.

Everybody's going crazy...

Me too.

We could have a fleet of
microprobes there (40
years at 10% of lightspeed)
before the end of this
century, no sweat. 10-20
years to build'em, 40 years
in transit, four years to
send the pictures back...
65 years from now.

Another wonderful thing
I'll never live to see...

[meteorite-list] Ad: $1.99 Auctions Ending today - Crestom, Tissint, Bruderheim, Licking

2016-08-24 Thread Ruben Garcia via Meteorite-list
Hi all,

I thought last week was my last $1.99 auctions for the year but I
found a few odds and ends and listed them. These include Creston,
Tissint, Bruderheim, Licking and more.

This set ends in a few hours and one more set will start as these end.
Unless I dig up more bits and pieces these should be my last $1.99
auctions for the year.

Graham, Sure, today you need an export permit even for stones found prior to
the ban. However , There is no law against selling items that were already
exported prior to the ban. So, I'm sure these are OK to sell. Besides that,
Michael is in the USA. I'm quite sure there is no US law which prohibits any
sale of these meteorites. Period. Thanks. Carl
