[meteorite-list] FOLLOWUP & OFFER: Found Rock in the Middle of Altered Circular Mark on Pavement

2020-04-17 Thread Peter Richards via Meteorite-list
Hello, new photos and I put no price. I have the witnesses and again, note
photo..
Actually, incidentally, there was another spot, meaning presumably another
stone was there, although the manager of the establishment owning the lot
mentioned nothing about any doorstop or anything who knows, but as I
stated, it looks like a fall to me because the heat caused the molten tar
to create a halo without cranks. More photos added to album, I see
plausible shock melt veins, what I'd surmise would be weathering
accretions, and froth on two opposite sides, roughly ..possibly a sign of
some orientation, I'ld dare add. Thanks for your consideration. I'd like
$500 all told, 600 would pay them handsomely for a bill of sale I've yet to
get, I think, in their eyes..Monday it I think could be done...obo

Chicago (site pictured, btw, is at Milwaukee S of intersection with Ogden
some 100yards on the SW side)
