[meteorite-list] 2 x 2 inch boxes

2003-10-13 Thread Walter Branch

Hello Everyone,

I know I ask this question every few months but has
anyone discovered a source for 2 x 2 inch acrylic specimen boxes, with
pads. These look a lot like the 1 x 1 inch boxes and they are easily
obtained without pads but I am looking for a source that can provide the pads as
well, like with the 1 x 1 inch boxes. I hate that polyfill stuff and I
really don't want to cut my own foam pads. Thanks.

Walter,

My wife quilts and I steal quilt batting from her
to stuff these 2"x2" boxes. If you don't know anyone who quilts you
can buy some at a fabric store. The stuff is cheap.

Cheers,

Hello Walter and members,

I suggest you talk to Mike Gallant ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
I bought some of those 2 x 2 inch boxes from Minresco, and Mike very kindly provided the pads at a very reasonable price. And I even had the choice between 3 different kinds of pads!

Hi Anne,

WOW. Thanks very much. I can't remember
the last time I went to Mike's site but I hope it's in my favorites list.
Just in case, Mike POST YOUR URL!

Yes, Sharon Cisneros is a good source for the 2 x 2
inch cases but even they could not supply me with the pads.

Thanks again!

It is on my list, here it is:
 www.migacorp.com
but the pads are not on his site, it is something he offered to do because Mineresco could not provide them. (in fact his daughter did all the cutting, and she did a very good job).

Best of luck.
