[meteorite-list] 50th Anniversary of Gao-Guenie (H5)

2010-03-05 Thread Jeff Kuyken

Hi all,

I just thought I would remind everyone that today is actually the 50th
Anniversary of one of the most well known meteorite falls... Gao-Guenie.
This meteorite was probably among the first of the individuals to grace many
of our collections. I know it was the first fall and individual represented
in mine.

Happy birthday Gao!

Happy 50th Birthday Gao-Guenie! You don't look a day over 4.56 billion years.
Yeah, I know. I'm mixing the fall date with it's true age, but,... oh well. :-/
I think I'll take my little Gao out to lunch. Thanks, Jeff!
