The article makes it sound as if the diamond landed in Dubai as a meteorite. It didn't. If it is really a true carbonado, and not a hoax, then it came from a diamond deposit in Africa or Brazil, and not from a meteorite. There's a lot wrong with the way the popular press is depicting this thing. Carbonaros have also been found in Canyon Diablo. But only tiny ones. Not an inclusion. Ureilites are known to have carbon polymorphs including microscopic diamonds, but that’s as close as you are going to get. Note that there is some controversy as to the origin of carbon ado diamonds.
