[meteorite-list] Bash Bob Evans Day

2004-07-06 Thread Comcast Mail
Ok,

Here goes... The money order to Stefan was mailed out sometime in
October last year. Why wait 9 months to bring it up here on the list?
There were some inquiries that I responded to approx. 4 months after the
payment was sent. Unfortunately Martin and Stefan dont want to forward my
email responses.
I should add that Stefan is a complete gentleman, and I never accused him of
being fraudulent.
Martin, If you have any proof of me accusing him of being fraudulent .
please share it with the list !
Of course you cant , BECAUSE I NEVER DID !

By the way Martin. If I never responded to your inquiries , how did
you know I accused him of being fraudulent? Can you read my mind ?

As for Ryan He requested that I cancel approx. 8 to 10 meteorite
ebay auctions ( which I did ) so that he may buy the whole lot. Then he
waits one week and tells me that he wants his $125.00 deposit back. This
obviously put me in a jam, anyone knows that I sell material to acquire new
meteorites.
So , I get pissed off and take my time refunding the money. Go ahead and
shoot me!! Some Dealers would have told him to go to hell for wasting their
time and would never have dealt with him again.

So beware of Ryan he likes to have you cancel auctions, pay a deposit and
then later back out and ask for a refund. Shame on you little boy

As for the other people Ive dealt with in my short time collecting, I want
to say I appreciate all of the sales, trades, discussions etc.
To name a few Mike Farmer, Dave Shultz, Steve Arnold Chgo., Michael Blood,
Eric Olsen, Rob Wesel, Jim Schwade, Bob Cucciara, Bob Haag

Ask them If I ever stiffed them on money.

And please have a look at my ebay feedback user ID : maccers531
Sorry, no evidence of fraud there either.

Thanks
Bob Evans

I must warn the list of Bob Evans as well. I was supposed to receive a
$125 refund from Bob over a month ago and I still have not received my money
back, nor have I recieved a response from him after several email and phone
call attempts. Well, I checked his Ebay history a few days ago and noticed
that he had placed a $1500 bid on a meteorite not too long ago, yet he
cannot afford to return my hard-earned money back to me? Never again! I warn
everyone else not to do any business with Bob Evans. His unprofessionalism
is a joke.

 Ryan

 Hello list!

Great stone - always a pleasure to watch the meteorite of the day at
 Spacerocksinc!

As nice as the specimen may be, the owner isn't.

I never did this before and hope not to have to do it in future,
but I have to warn everyone on this list to make business with Bob Evans.

Bob Evans ordered from wellknown list member Stefan Ralew last autumn
 meteorites for 1000$.
Stefan sent the specimens, but they aren't paid until today.
Bob Evans stated to have sent a money order, but it never arrived.
Well a letter always can be lost in mail and with checks or money orders
it's really no problem to block it and to issue a new one.
Instead of this Bob Evans claimed, that Stefan recieved the money (he
 didn't).
Each bank can verify easy, whether a check was cashed. It's a question of
a
 few minutes.
Bob Evans refused to ask at his bank, kept the stones and continues to
claim
 Stefan to be fraudulent.

This is a completely improper behaviour and in my eyes the meteorite
community just has no need for such persons.

You may think, that this is not my cup of tea, but I know Stefan to be of
modest character, so that he never would address to the list in that case.
I
wrote also to Evans personnally with no reactions.
1000$ are quite a sum and we all know Stefan for his efforts to offer
meteorites of outstanding quality at extreme low prices.
With this mail I want to preserve both collectors and dealers from similar
 experiences with Mr.Bob Evans.

 So:
Please don't sell to or trade with Bob Evans, nor bid on his auctions (ID:
 maccers531)
until he will have solved that situation.

To avoid misunderstandings: Spacerocksinc has nothing to do with that
thing.

 Thanks a lot!
 Martin Altmann

Hi,

I'm not willing to invest my time in that story, nor do I want to molest the
list further with that.
Nor should you waste to much time in defending -
go instead to your bank and let prove whether the chek was cashed.
If not, send a new one to Stefan, if yes and the check was issued on Stefan
Ralew as recipient, the bank has to refund it.
Simple thing, only solution

and then the sun will be shining again.
Martin
