As far as the one ad per week rule being a

Although this is not reflected in the list of rules on
the Meteorite Central Page, this update was directly
from Art. I don't mind the ads being more frequent
than that but I thought all of you might like to read
what Art had to say on it a little over a year ago
when this subject had heated up again.
My best,
Thomas

 Come on, Dave,
It was clarified long ago that there is no
 official rule against
more than 1 ad per week - that was a gentlemen's
 agreement and
though Chicago Steve has been called many names, I
 don't remember
anyone ever accusing him of being a gentleman.
 Best wishes, Michael
PS: As for Chaos on the list - that's ALWAYS been
 what this list
is - chaotic - nearly, dare I say, anarchistic? The
 one exception is Art's
list of rules. If people chronically and/or
 blatantly ignore them, Art
suspends or even bans them. Other than that, anarchy
 pretty much
 manifests throughout the list.

2006-11-29 Thread Pete Pete
Not to be too much of a stickler, but the word should makes rule 7
ambiguous, and open to option.

Art could have easily made it a do not rule, but did not.
I read it as a suggestion from father Art, ex cathedra.

Just my humble opinion...

Cheers,
Pete
