I'd check the regular column Market Trends in the Meteorite Times.
This guy that writes those articles seems to know all the ups and downs
 of this stuff. ;-)

Thanks to all who contacted me off list re the price of Odessas.
Yes, I know - but I was never afraid to ask questions - I actually
had teachers who thought I was dumb because I asked questions
but that's another story.
Prices HAVE gone up somewhat on this material, from the
feedback I have gotten. I now know what this stuff is running per
LB. so, I thank all that contacted me - even the wise guy above...
Best wishes, Michael

I stand by all the misstatements that I've made.

[meteorite-list] Price of Odessa

2003-07-12 Thread Michael L Blood
Hi All,
I was hoping some of you - or at least one of you would know
what the per Lb price of Odessa should be on a multi pound specimen
of good (neither fabulous nor poor) character/form.
   http://www.thomascave.com/Meteorites/Charts/splitstonelist.htm
has it listed at .40 - 1.81 per GRAM - but, surely, this is not for
multiple
kg sized specimens?
The last time I was in Odessa, a couple of old dudes had garages full
of specimens at $65/Lb - but that was a bunch of years ago. Anyone know
the status these days of this material?
   Thanks, Michael
