there are several specie of brown recluse. The desert doseclese is the least venemous. It is tan to yellow in color and looks nothing like the recluse. Mercurichrome with mercury applied to a recluse bite will kill the bacteria from the poison and significantly reduce injury. Those spider bites are no joke. One of my neighbor's legs is entirely scarred. He waited a long time before going into the hospital and the damage was much more sever. I think he even had to have skin graphs. He is a big guy but is definitely afraid of any spiders now, especcially brown rectums. I partially separated my C3 and C4 vertebrae several years ago that took me out of the area of work I always did (mechanic and construction) My stepdad was bit by a recluse and they actually had to cut some skin and meat away... they are nasty spiders! Rubin: Sorry to hear the bad news - I hope you get better soon; and as to back injuries... please save any surgery until a last...last...very last resort. Ruben I have to agree with Greg. My wife had back surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute by a world renowned surgeon about 9 years ago. She was told to come back in a year and he would re-evaluate, she was told that if he operated again it might help but probably wouldn't. She was told to live with it. She has now been on Morphine for bout 8 years and manages OK Mr Hupe, as far as rectums are concerned I've always been afraid of them regardless of their color.
