Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Magazine.... Just Like Baseball over the Internet

2012-07-14 Thread Michael Blood
Hi Kevin and all,

I am certain I am not the only list member hopeful that the current
Editor of METEORITE MAGAZINE will choose to publish your 'The Rise of the
Raj and the Fall of Shergotty - Conclusion as edited by Joel, the magazine
Founder in the Nov. issue. We all recall fondly the outstanding work you did
On Nakhla (for which you received a HARVEY AWARD). As I recall, that
Article was one of the longest in the magazine's history - but I was riveted
Throughout, as I am sure were the entire readership.

The debates on the list that followed between you and Ron Baalke
Were, in my opinion, some of the best reading the LIST has ever had
To offer (relative LIST newbie's would be well advised to read your
Article and go into the LIST archives in this regard) The point being
That your article was nothing short of brilliant and profoundly impactful.
How a second article on Shergotty could be passed on is beyond my ken.

It would be a shame to see it have to be published on the net, as
that would devalue METEORITE MAGAZINE in a number of ways
And cause significant difficulty for future researchers.

However, if it comes to that I would be happy to run it as a link from my
site and I would encourage you to utilize as many sites as possible - not
just one, because as meteorite history goes it will be SIGNIFICANT, even
if it is only half as good as your Nakhla article, which has to rank in my
mind as perhaps the most significant article in the history of the magazine
- and that is saying a lot.

Best regards, Michael

PS: Might it be useful for list member to submit a petition requesting your
Concluding Article appear in the November issue of METEORITE MAGAZINE?
Perhaps if the majority of the readership were actively requesting the
article there would be less apprehension that people would be offended or
that it is too long.

On 7/13/12 9:05 PM, Met. Kevin Kachinka mars...@gmail.com wrote:

 Team Meteorite:

 Reporting tonight from Costa Rica.

 Well, actually every night.

I'm from Cleveland and although my baseball team there is underfunded
and historically poor, I pay mlb.com to watch their struggles on my
 computer.

Tonight they play the Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays are up, bottom of
the ninth, but down 1-0. The Indians All-Star reliever Chris Perez has
two outs. One more out and the Tribe wins. It's a nail biter.

I lose the signal. What happened? Of no!

It's just like Meteorite magazine that has decided that its
subscribers don't deserve to read the conclusion regarding the
circumstances of the fall of Shergotty 147 years ago after publishing
the preliminary round. What happened? Oh no!

Mr. Kichinka submitted an article to METEORITE magazine that was
accepted and prepared for publication. On receipt of the proofs, Mr.
Kichinka reacted strongly against the edits, which were routine
corrections to grammar, insertions that he had failed to make (like
figure captions), removal of material that in the Editor's view might
upset certain readers, and the shortening of some ancillary text in
the interests of space. This was an extraordinarily long and expensive
article to print. The number of edits was actually very few, maybe 20,
in an eight page article. Realizing that this was not going to be
resolved quickly, and that we would be dammed if we published and
dammed if we didn't, I withdrew the article from the August issue and
told Mr. Kichinka we would consider the matter before the November
issue was prepared. That is where the matter rests.

Where the matter rests is that someone who controls Meteorite Magazine
has an agenda that doesn't include serving its subscribers. Or its
 advertisers. Or its contributors.

Robert, there is nothing 'routine' about destroying the integrity of a
science article by recklessly changing facts.

Attached to the feature are 49 references, about half from the
1850-1890's. There were no errors in grammar until Robert or Derek
inserted them. If it was 'long' it was because it is the first or
second best legend of meteorites and worth the space.

But was length really the problem?

Kichinka submitted the article which was accepted and prepared... the
number of edits was actually very few, maybe 20 in an eight page
article...but on receipt of the proofs...

i.e. the feature was not 'too long' and was ready to go to the printer
if I accepted their contrived errors. All contributors of the August
issue have the proof in their files this moment with the full
Shergotty feature and can confirm this to any list member.

While the m-list is quiet on this issue- I realize that people don't
want to rock the boat- my mail box is full of support from IMCA
members, m-list readers, and I have offers to post the feature as
links to your websites. I will respond to everyone as soon as I can.

And all this concern is from the generous friends I've made since I
started messing with meteorites one day

Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite magazine - from the co-editor

2011-12-08 Thread eric
Hi List, I'd like to also clarify. Robert is correct. Meteorite
Magazine and Meteorite Hunting and Collecting Magazine are not
associated in any way. So as to not further confuse. They are TWO
SEPARATE PUBLICATIONS.

MHC Magazine was created and run entirely by me, from home, and there
were no employees or team to handle all the work that goes into
creating and publishing a magazine. It was 100% me, and I accept full
responsibility for promises made to subscribers and advertisers, and
intend to make good on my promise of refunds for issues that were
unable to be delivered.

I placed a notice on the website back in September regarding the
status of my magazine:
http://www.mhcmagazine.com/blog/mhc-magazine-on-pause/ and explained
that it would take some time, but ALL subscribers and advertisers
would receive a full refund minus any magazine issues/advertising
they've already received.

MHC magazine was created by me out of a passion and love for
meteorites, and to share such with the meteorite world and those
interested in meteorites and astronomy related to space rocks.

As I've said publicly before, I regret that I bit off more than I
could chew, and as such MHC magazine has placed us in a dire financial
position. The magazine is on pause, indefinitely.

To everyone who supported me and my publication, I thank you from the
bottom of my heart, and I sincerely apologize for not being able to
deliver as promised. Know that it was not intentional. Sorry guys. I
tried. I will make it right with everyone!

Quoting Robert Beauford robertbeauf...@rocketmail.com:

Matthew and All,
Please allow me to clarify a couple of misunderstandings that
cropped up in the responses to this morning's discussion on the
meteorite list-serve before addressing your specific subject of
communication.
-- Meteorite magazine and Meteorite Hunting and Collecting Magazine
are not the same thing. --
Meteorite magazine, which can be found on the web at
http://www.meteoritemag.org/  is not and has never been in any way
associated with Meteorite Hunting and Collecting Magazine (MHCM),
which can be found on the web at http://www.mhcmagazine.com/    I do
not know the status of the MHCM publication.  We are not associated
with the promised refunds that were mentioned or with any other
obligations or commitments having to do with that publication.  I
personally subscribed to it when it started, but have never met the
people involved and have only read one issue.  Beyond that, I know
nothing, but truly wish them the best.
Meteorite magazine, through which I currently serve the community as
co-editor, has been around for 17 years, is published quarterly,
and has no unfulfilled financial or publication obligations beyond
any short term screw-ups of the sort that apparently happened with
Matthew's subscription attempt about a week ago.
It is my great pleasure to serve the meteorite community through
this publication, and I do so only because I value the publication,
the subject, and what I feel the work contributes to each of you.
From start to finish, I consider each issue a team effort between
the authors, the subscribers, the advertisers, and the
publication/editorial team.  Without each part of this team, the
magazine wouldn't happen.  Handling editorial and publication
related tasks, which includes subscriptions as well as great deal
more, requires the devotion of a tremendous amount of time to this
publication.  Since the work is almost completely volunteer, we also
spend a great deal of time supporting ourselves in order to make
the time, energy and money that we put into this service possible,
as well as persuing our own research interests.  As a result, a few
days may occasionally pass between communications.  I think that
most of our authors and subscribers
would vouch that we do a pretty good job of keeping on top of things
and making it clear, through both our communications and
actions, that we care.
Matthew, I am terribly sorry for the mix-up in regards your
subscription, and I understand your frustration.  I have absolutely
no doubt that we will be able to take care of it.  We are a 3-part
team.  I primarily handle author communications and editorial.
Derek Sears handles layout, printer communications, and
editorial.  Hazel Sears handles subscriptions, billing, and
advertising.  I have already forwarded your concern to her, and I'm
sure she will be able to take care of it with no problem.  You can
always reach Hazel with any problems of this sort at

Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Magazine Re: Business contact

2010-12-30 Thread Robert Beauford
Dear Friends,
I believe that Derek and Hazel have been taking a well earned Christams season
holiday with family. Its been a lot of work to pick up the magazine
mid-stride, along with all of our regular work loads, but I'm confident we'll
be able to take care of all of your subscription support and get the magazine
out on time from here forward. I really appreciate all of your patience and
support during this transition. It's hard to tell you much about August issue,
since it was before we were involved, but we will do our best to get everyone
taken care of.

On another note, if you have new feature or article ideas that you would like
to propose or contribute, please let us know. This is magazine is created by
the meteorite community for the meteorite community, and we are enthusiastic
about having your input and contributions. We are collecting May issue
articles now, so let us know if there is something you would like to write.

All the best to each of you, and I hope that you all have a wonderful New Years
Eve.

Thanks!

Mine came today, too. It's a great issue. Can't wait to read about
hourglass chondrules. There's a great photo of Barringer on
horseback at Meteor Crater, a newbie-friendly article on meteorwrongs,
a fascinating account about checking out a possible meteorite mounted
high on a wall in mosque in Istanbul, a report on Gibeon and lots
more. Yours will come soon!

 The November Meteorite Magazine issue
should be in your mail boxes very soon if it has not already
arrived.  You can expect it shortly.  I'm sorry
for the delay.  We picked up production mid-stride, but
put together what I think is a nice issue with great
articles.  I deeply appreciate everyone who helped us
to make this happen.  February should be back to
arriving on time.  Someone mentioned not having gotten
prior issues in their subscription.  The only one that
should be late is November.  If you have had other
subscription problems, these will involve issues prior to
our presence.  Please let us know, either through the
web site at meteoritemag.uark.edu, or by contacting Hazel
 directly at met...@uark.edu
(Hazel can help you with business, back issues, or
 subscription questions.)
For articles, content questions, or article submissions,
you can contact the editors, Derek Sears or myself, at meted...@uark.edu
Thank you all for your support of this great
magazine.  It is an honor and a joy to be working with
all of you to keep this magazine going and growing.

Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Magazine

2010-12-14 Thread lebofsky
Hi Everyone:

Part of the reason Nancy and I finally resigned as Editors of Meteorite
was the lack of transparency with respect to things like subscriptions and
how they were handled (Maria Haas, Nancy, and I tried to resolve this when
we worked on the August issue, just before things happened that led to our
resignation). I do not know how this might change now that everything is
being done at the University of Arkansas where the magazine is actually
published.

If you only received the first issue, it is because you did not pay for
2010. Subscribers get the February issue and a notice to renew (not sure
how this is done) and if they do not hear from you, I think that they just
let your subscription expire (at least that is how I think it worked).
Not the way I would like to see it handled and maybe with new people in
Arkansas, things will improve.

Frustrated ex-editor.

Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Magazine

2010-12-14 Thread Meteorites USA
Thomas, You are correct, one issue of MHC has been shipped. If anyone is
referring to MHC, we're running late on printing issue #2 (which is LIVE
on the site now) and, we're finishing up the #3 digital edition now.
Once complete we go to print and everyone will receive their magazines
mailed out direct from our printer. Larry is right about delivery
times... Please allow a 2-3 weeks for delivery from the printer
excluding the holiday. Email me directly if you have any questions, or
use our contact form: http://www.mhcmagazine.com/contact/

Thanks for the patience guys...

Regards,
Eric

Hi Dennis:

Don't panic!

Have you ever heard of the US mail? Also this there is a holiday coming
up. When I was editor, there were a few times when I actually knew when an
issue left the printers. My impression is that foreign airmail got their
copies within a week and US subscribers could be as long as two weeks
after it was sent out by the printers, so expect it to be a Christmas
present, would be my guess, based on the email that was sent out.

success in whatever direction your lives take you. It will take a strong

Dear Friends:

By now, all of you who subscribe to Meteorite magazine should have gotten
your August issue. We hope that you like the changes. With Jessica Park
leaving as Production Manager, we were asked to take over the production
of the August issue and look into ways to increase circulation. We wanted
this to be the first step in bringing Meteorite into the twenty-first
century. We think that we succeeded. Please let us know what you think of
the new style; we worked hard on this.

Nancy and I could not have done it alone. Carol Nelson was our
professional graphic designer and we had advice from Geoff Notkin and
Maria Haas. We especially want to thank Maria for all of the work she did.
She was invaluable in helping in the layout and in the proofing of the
final product, not an easy task. She also took on the task of getting
nearly 20 new subscribers and advertisers. No magazine can survive without
a source of loyal readers and advertisers. Thank you, Maria.
That said, Nancy and I must now say good-bye to Meteorite magazine. We are
doing this for both personal and professional reasons. With several key
personnel and policy changes at the publishing end, we felt that it was
time for us to move on. We will miss the interaction with our readers, but
look forward to maintaining the friendships we have formed over the last
five years.

Anyone wanting to submit articles to for publication should do so through

Editor or Production Manager.

We thank all of you for your support of Meteorite magazine.

Hi Geoff, all,

Thanks for that Goeff, and greetings to you too.

Just a thought that lazy, disorganized people like myself have not got around
to subscribing to Meteorite magazine (and I know I should and want to) because
the method of subscribing is not the most user friendly. If someone could set
up an online method or host a paypal method I'm sure the subscriptions would
rise dramatically.

My thanks too go to all those who have made this meteorite year
great...especially those who made my Ensisheim trip the best yet.
First of all Bernd for initiating my link up with Peter Davidson,
Zelimir for organizing all that and the generous help he gave us to get there,
and Peter himself for the great company out there, on the journey and the tour
round the stored collection at the museum in Edinburgh.

Greetings to those others out at Ensisheim, Marc, Seigfreid, Karin, Peter,
Svend, Anne and many more too numerous to mention...great times.

Also greetings to Rob Elliot for putting up with my visit to his collection at
home and hospitality just a week before most of it was auctioned...now that and
the auction were exceptional events for me in 2009.

See you all in Tucson most likely,

and a happy new year,

Hi List,

I highly recommend that any collector who does not subscribe to
Meteorite Magazine, should immediately go subscribe - now! Stop
reading this message, open a new browser tab, and go to :

http://meteoritemag.uark.edu/

If you are missing out on this publication, then you are missing out
the best source of meteorite-related information for the layman.

This month's issue is a perfect example of why every collector should
read this magazine :

1) the heartfelt letter from Dorothy Norton and the shared experiences
of his many friends and admirers. This demonstrates the sense of
community in the meteorite world. I especially enjoyed the anecdotes
about Richard playing pranks on the unflappable Dr. Leonard.

2) the article about Gujba that sheds some light on this unusual
meteorite and the misconceptions about it. This demonstrates the
pursuit of science that many in the collecting world support - not
just collecting space rocks, but learning about them as well.

3) the excellent article by Anita Westlake on how to talk to the
public about meteorites. This should be required reading for those
who are considering their first steps into the world of meteorite
outreach.

4) The articles about tektites which clearly depict the various forms
these objects take and why they assume these forms. Ever wonder where
those odd little C shaped tektite pieces come from? They were
spalled off of larger masses still in a fluid state. This information
is available from other sources on the web and in print, but Meteorite
Magazine always finds a way to present an old topic with a new twist
or lesson. I've read dozens of papers and articles about tektites,
and I walked away from this month's issue with a few new insights I
didn't have before.

5) Thomas Grau's account of the Danish fall on Lolland is illustrative
of the confusion and hard work that immediately follows a promising
fireball report.

6) Thanks to Richard Kowalski - I got a peek inside the Apollo 11,
40th anniversary shindig at the University of Arizona. I wish I could
have been there, but this article is the next best thing. :)

7) Did I forget Roger and John's excellent chondrule photos in the
Centerpiece section? If a collector hasn't looked at a meteorite
sample under a microscope, then that collector is missing out on a
whole new world of enjoying space rocks.

8) I loved the photo of the frustrated searcher hugging a big rock, in
the article about the Ukrainian bolide. This is another example of
the hard work surrounding the hunt for meteorites.

The whims of the meteorite collector's market may not be predictable,
but one thing in the world of meteorites is for certain - that every
Meteorite subscriber will receive 4 quarterly issues packed with the
very best that meteorites have to offer. This is my second year as a
subscriber and I look forward to what year 3 holds! :)

Best regards and happy huntings,

MikeG

Subject: [meteorite-list] Meteorite magazine: Celebrating O. Richard
 Norton's life

 Dear Friends:

As most of you are aware, O. Richard Norton was a supporter of and
involved with Meteorite magazine from the very beginning, He wrote his
first article, “Meteorites—Chips off the Old Asteroid Block,” in the
 first
issue of Meteorite! in 1995. He also wrote “Centerpiece” for ten
 years.
 We will all miss him.

Because of this, we would like to celebrate the life Richard Norton by
dedicating the November issue of Meteorite magazine to him. Many of you
have written to the Meteorite and IMCA lists expressing your feelings and,
in some cases, giving your personal experiences with Richard or with one
of the many books he has written.

We would like to include a series of anecdotes about your personal
experiences with Richard (or one of his many books) that can be published
in the November issue. As much as possible, we would like to do this as a
historical sequence with pictures, to show who he has influenced in the
meteorite community, in what way, and when. How far back does his
influence go? Ron Hartman and Richard were at UCLA together and Nancy took
an astronomy class and a photography class from him in 1974 and 1975 when
he was the Director of the Grace H. Flandrau Planetarium here in Tucson.

Please try to limit your text to one or two images and about a hundred
 words!

Please send your emails directly to us at:

 lebof...@lpl.arizona.edu and copy to llebof...@gmail.com

Thanks to all of you in advance.

while you're looking at back issues I'd like to purchase February 2004, May

the cover as well.

perhaps someone who will be coming to the Tucson Show?

Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Magazine/ New California Meteorites for sale

2007-03-17 Thread Ruben Garcia
Hi all,
Thank you everyone for the all the interest in my
California meteorites. A few have been sold but some
remain. I want to correct something that I said. I
previously stated that the classification could take
6-12 months. I should have said 1 to 2 years, because
that is more realistic. During this time the exact
location will remain a secret. Only when the
classification is through will I post results.

Thanks again,

2006-12-05 Thread Greg Redfern
Good Evening List,

If you are as fortunate as I am to have had personal and meteoritical
dealings with Robert, it should come as no surprise as to the quality
and readability of his excellent article on Allende hunting in the
current issue of Meteorite.

WHAT did come as a surprise, and further attests to his modesty, is
the NUMBER of specimens that he has found - 2,000! Further, his donation
of a large portion of these finds to a public institution - his local
planetarium - shows how fortunate our community is to have a human being
of his caliber amongst us.

Sorry your run of expedition finds (3 for 4 now) was broken Robert but
I am grateful you and Jerry returned safely.

I look forward to reading about your next adventure/find.

All the best,

Greg

2006-08-29 Thread Robert Woolard
Gerald and List,

  I heartily second Gerald's comments on Greg's
excellent article. Greg's passion for the CBIC and
impacts in general is quite evident. But even more
importantly is his drive to help educate our kids on
the significance of such events. I know that Greg
spends a lot of his time volunteering in this sort of
matter, and I for one greatly appreciate his efforts.
Thanks for all your hard work, Greg, and for giving us
such a great story to read! It certainly gave me a
whole new perspective on the awesome forces that
created the CBIC.

Re: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Magazine- New Issue?

2006-02-28 Thread Dennis Beatty
I had a similar experience to that which Ron describes below. Last summer, I
renewed for two years...just in time to find out that the magazine was going
away. I was pleased to find out that it would continue to be published and
figured that I had two year's worth of reading ahead of me. Until, that is, I
received the letter stating that I had received a refund (I hadn't) and needed
to pay for 2006.

I sent off an e-mail just after Christmas pointing out the error. I'm not the
most patient guy in the world, so when I hadn't received a reply to my e-mail,
I phoned and spoke to a young lady (I have forgotten her name) but she said
that Hazel Sears would be back in touch.

Some time later, I did receive an e-mail reply from Hazel stating that they
would credit my subscription for 2006 and half of 2007. I probably lost an
issue or two in the confusion...but something is better than nothing. Of
course, I haven't seen an issue yet

We'll have to figure out what to do for those of you who asked me to

think on that and get back to you.

Anyway, congratulations to Joel and Christine and the new publishing

 METEORITE LIVES ON!

Our dearly beloved METEORITE magazine is being taken over by a very
skilled and professional team in the USA - Derek and Hazel Sears, Larry
and Nancy Lebofsky. It will be exactly the same magazine as before in
appearance, content, style and level of articles as well as
advertisements. Nothing will be changed. Joel will continue to act as
an advisor to the new team. All subscribers will soon be contacted by
the new editors regarding this recent turn of events and be given
 renewal forms wherever necessary.

The unused portions of all subscribers will be honored so the
transition will simply carry on business as usual. In fact, the
February issue is now in preparation and will appear on time.

We do hope that everyone supports the magazine in the same way as you
 have in the past.

 Kind regards,
 Christine Schiff

 Hi All,

I just recieved my last issue of meteorite magazine. It was with great
sadness that I read about Dr.Joel Schiff's illness.

I personally would like to donate any refund that I have coming back to
Dr. Schiff and his family in recognition of his dedication and a job
 well done.

I was wondering if other list members think it would be a good idea to
start a Master list of names of others who wish to donate their
refunds. Or would it be best to email Dr. Schiff directly?

start a Master list of names of others who wish to donate their

 Dear Friends and Listees:

I have been in frequent contact with Joel's wife,
 Christine Schiff, and
she tells me that Joel's condition is serious but
 that he will get
 better.

I began writing for Meteorite in 1998 and had the
 great good fortune
to become closely involved with it over the
 succeeding years. As many
of you know, I wrote regular feature articles, news
 stories, book
reviews, designed ads for a number of you good
 people, and worked with
Joel on re-designing the magazine's logo and cover
 back in 2000 (the
first issue with the new look was Feburary, 2001).
 As I said in an
interview with Paul and Jim of Meteorite Times,
 my professional
relationship with the magazine remains one of the
 most satisfying
 aspects of my life.

Having worked in some form of publishing pretty much
 non-stop since I
was a teenager, I know what a Herculean effort it is
 to produce, at
home, with a limited budget, a magazine of such
 quality. Just getting
the thing out on time every three months was a
 massive accomplishment,
but Joel, Christine, Aaron, and their associate
 editors and supporters
also maintained an extremely high level of accuracy
 and integrity --
not to mention the translations, subscriptions,
 mailings, etc. It's a
mammoth task and I salute the Schiff family and
 friends for making that
magazine so well and for so long. That kind of
 sustained effort really
takes a lot out of you, and now that publication has
 ceased, it's time
for Joel and family to enjoy lots of free time with
 the knowledge of a
 job well done.

I should point out that neither Joel nor Christine
 are on the Meteorite
List, so they may not yet have seen your kind posts
 of support. I will
personally forward every one of those posts to
 Christine, as well as
any others that may be forthcoming. I gather Joel is
 not up to
answering email at the moment, so it might be best
 to post your thought
to the List, rather than send them to him
 personally.

I'm sure you will all join me in sending Joel our
 most sincere wishes
 for a rapid recovery.

 Sincerely,

 Geoff N.

Hi List,

I suggested a contest about a week back to see who could get the most
Meteorite Magazine subscriptions and I am offering either a Richfield,
Kansas 19.8 gram Meteorite part slice or if you prefer a 10 gram Park
Forest part slice. I can provide photos but need someone to host.

Rules. Simply supply me or the Magazine with the number of subscriptions
you have been able to generate. They must receive the subscription
before the end of the year for it to count. We'll verify those with the
highest count and the winner is entitled to his/her choice of the
meteorites above. If someone wants to up the anti and donate another
specimen we can accept that but will leave it to the people out there.

We're just going by the honor system here but will need your list to
verify how many people you have convinced to subscribe or you can
provide subscriptions for people, museums, schools and so forth. Such
subscriptions must be sent in by personal check or business check to
count.

Any suggestions (in case I have overlooked something) would be
appreciated. I hope we can generate over a hundred subscriptions but
several hundred would be better! All my best!

Disclaimer, I am not associated with the Magazine (would it matter?)
other than an occasional author.

I would like to challenge people on the list to a sort of contest. Lets see who
can get the most Meteorite Magazine subscriptions from now until the end of the
year! Winner gets a paid subscription for a full year (and yes it counts as one

nice specimen out that I have worked on. I'll annouce what it is in a few days.

It is a good way to get new people interested in meteorites, expand Meteorite

do you say? Are you up to it? Let the subsciptions begin! All my best and

Dear Fellow Meteorite Enthusiasts,
A few facts that you ought to know. Color pictures in Meteorite
magazine cost the publisher a great deal. Hence their cost limits the use in
each edition. Each time I renew I put in $50.00 extra to help support the
continued quality of this highly respected publication. Just a suggestion to
consider; after all it is our most important meteorite news source.

Sir,
I am writing to you in response to your letter requesting a back issue of
Meteorite Magazine. I do not have any back issues as I myself am also
searching for back issues. So if you should hear of any back issues could I
get you to let me know as well? If I may let me explain why I am searching
as well. When the magazine first started, I subscribed to it and di so
until 2000. During that time I was married, and for awhile I lived and
worked overseas. Then in 2001, my now ex-wife kicked me out but kept many
of my astronomy books and magazines including Meteorite Magazine As a
result of her theft, which the court said I was suppossed to get back but
never have, I have found out that she has sold much of my astronomical
materials. Therefore, I would appreciate it very much if you get any
responses about any back issues to please contact me.

Respectfully,
