Re: [meteorite-list] OT: Strange
Just to give you an example, Shawn posted this at 1.30pm. Nothing has appeared on the Met List. Not even postings and I have made several. I'm not getting up your nose Art, but I feel your members need some real time instead of out of date and delayed responses. I don't know if you're having problems with your server but I'd really appreciate an explanation. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh149/Johnno_ACH/metlistpostAug10.jpg Just my $1.50 AU Cheers John Cabassi IMCA # 2125 -Original Message- From: John.L.Cabassi [mailto:j...@cabassi.net] Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2011 6:46 PM To: 'meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com' Subject: OT: Strange G'Day List I don't know if anybody else is noticing but feeds coming through from the Met List are delayed and in batches, which is cool but sometimes it can cause complications. Without putting any names in place or promoting any body, I got a batch the day before. I constantly monitor what's coming down the pipeline then all of a sudden .. Bang! I get all these replies in one block. Some had been sent the day before, some have been sent on the current day, the times just don't add up. But one person in particular posted an ad, he sent it at 3 something AM and then at 1.30 PM a batch came through with maybe 12 listings on the Met List that had been sent quite some time ago. I was interested in the ad, so I immediately clicked on it and the auction had finished. So for those that are placing ads, maybe you should get them in a week ahead of schedule, because I'm definitely not receiving them until everything is finished. Just some thought and no animals or meteorites were harmed during this post. Re: [meteorite-list] OT: Strange
G'Day List Thanks for all the replies. So its not a UFO .Just kidding :-) I have been lucky enough to see a space shuttle launch and several that launched from Vandenberg, I think in my haste to get out and earn a penny I was a bit vague, but I was curious to know was this a shock wave or atmospheric anomaly. What I have witnessed have been straight forward launches, nothing as weird as the video. Hi John: It looks like a typical rocket launch to me. In the middle, the first plume ends and then a new one begins. This is called first stage shut down and second stage taking over. Larry G'Day List What do you think this is? http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/ufo-over-chinese-airport/20l0xekk ?q=UFO+sightingrel=msnfrom=en-us_msnhpgt1=42007 Cheers John IMCA # 2125 __ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list __ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
