Re: [meteorite-list] UK Boxing Day Merry Christmas
Hi Michael and All, Never really considered it to be just a UK thing...but anyway...nowadays with us it seems to be an excuse to have yet another Christmas get together and meal at another family members house...well thats what has happened with our family for many yearsbut the name comes from a very old tradition of boxing up presents to give away to those less fortunate on that day...a lost tradition it seems. Happy new year and best regards Graham Michael L Blood mlbl...@cox.net wrote: Please, There must be a lot of US folks who, like I, wonder just what Boxing Day really is I mean, do you all start hitting one another, Or what?
