There must be a lot of US folks who, like I, wonder just what
Boxing Day really is I mean, do you all start hitting one another,
Or what? Is it a celebration of dogs with pointy ears? Is it a day y'all
Hold a lot of boxing matches? what?

Hi Michael and All,

Never really considered it to be just a UK thing...but anyway...nowadays with 
us it seems to be an excuse to have yet another Christmas get together and meal 
at another family members house...well thats what has happened with our family 
for many yearsbut the name comes from a very old tradition of boxing up 
presents to give away to those less fortunate on that day...a lost tradition it 
seems.
