Open BSD + Google Nexus 7 as storage
Hi Group. Have any of you managed to connect Nexus 7 tablet Android 4.1 based device to your Open BSD box as a storage to put some mp3s pdfs and other data on it. I have one but i cant make it act as a storage whan i plug it to my laptop via usb. in my messages i have such a statment loged via syslog Oct 7 11:40:47 tom /bsd: port 3 asus Nexus rev 2.00/99.99 addr 2 Oct 7 11:41:09 tom /bsd: ugen0 detached There is an ability to change usb connection mode from mtp to cameras and computers that dont suport mtp but when i switch into it nothing changes. Hi, it's about src/usr.sbin/unbound/ldns/drill/work.c at line 184: What is the 'fp' FILE used for ? Here - if I'm not mistaken - we fopen() filename, and that's it. We don't use the 'fp' variable, and we never fclose() it. If you type unbound into google, you will see that this is upstream code that is incorporated into OpenBSD. Therefore, you should really contact that project.

Thanks. This app is interasting, but I try to avoid using wifi whatever it is possible that is why i use UTP cable instead wireless on my laptop. Nothing prevents you from using copper ethernet with your laptop and wifi on the N7...

I don't think any current model Androids will mount as usb storage by design. Now I am using Nexus Media Importer from the google play store and transferring via usb stick, it's working so far. It doesn't require root access enabled on your phone. It's simple to make a usb host cable for the phone and now I can also connect a keyboard and mouse. A usb host cable has the unconnected pin4 of the micro-usb connected to gnd-pin5. I think they are also sold on Amazon. Brian
