yes, it was just a pass through transaction, just as the sponsor money that was destined for Opencon On Tue, Apr 7, 2009 at 9:14 PM, Bob Beck b...@obtuse.com wrote: * Wim Vandeputte wim.vandepu...@gmail.com [2009-04-07 12:26]: Two developers who wanted to contribute to the funeral did not have a credit card and asked me if they could wire the money to the IBAN account I then forwarded the money with my credit card towards the paypal account Which is fine, but then these are not donations to OpenBSD, and should therefore not be listed on your accounting page as such. correct? This was simply a gift sent through you personally.

I have exchanged a number of emails with someone at Liantec.com and when the emails stopped I was left thinking they want my money, but won't provide details on when the product could ship as the product was not in stock at the moment, no thanks. I asked them to contact me when the product went in stock but I have never heard back from them. Perhaps Wim has had more luck, but last I knew he didn't have any luck with them either. I wonder if these boards are simply vaporware. Liantec (and Comell) is a company tricky to deal with, they are shipping boards but you need to order large quantities. OpenBSD tent at CCC Summercamp, Finowfurt (Berlin), 8-12 August
Hey, this was posted to Undeadly, not sure if it was posted to misc@ Wednesday 8 August till Sunday 12 August 2007 All info on http://events.ccc.de/camp/2007/BSD_Village You might remember us from such mishaps and hangovers like HAL 2001, (see http://eurobsd.org/hal2001/), FOSDEM, CCC SummerCamp 2003 (see http://eurobsd.org/SummerCamp2003/) and What The Hack 2005 (see http://eurobsd.org/2005-WhatTheHack)... Wel, we are at it again. BSD users are invading the CCC Summercamp 2007 event and have claimed an entire village as their little embassy of sanity, lounge and cool beer. This year we'll have 2 tents, a 180 m^2 one for hacking (tables and couches) and a 100 m^2 one for sleeping only. We had to go through the CCC to hire equipment so all the prices are fixed, we'll split the costs amongst the participants. The more people join our tents, the cheaper it will become. But in order to keep it manageable, I intend to limit the residents to 70, it should be a pleasant holiday for all of us, not a crowded workplace! So far we have: http://events.ccc.de/camp/2007/Rent_a_Tent * A big hacking tent (180 m^2) at EUR 3420 + tables chairs (EUR 350) * A smaller sleeping tent (72 m^2) at EUR 1368 (max 35 sleepers) as I've limited the amount of residents and sleepers, that gives an estimated cost of EUR 55 for the hacking tent and EUR 40 for the sleeping tent. I'll have camping beds like last years at EUR 20/each for rent too. So far we have not had any info about the availability of fridges... but this is something I want to fix this week. Warm beer is a sacrilege! We'll be providing a roof over the head for any OpenBSD user or developer interested spending 4 days in a field near Berlin. You don't need to bring your own tent or camping bed, those are things we can provide for. Just bring your laptop and sunscreen! To register your presence in the BSD Village, using the web form at http://eurobsd.org/2007-SummerCamp/register.html For any questions, please contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] See you on the campground! Korean? or other coutries? Did you contact http://www.genesis.com.hk/ in Hong Kong? Or should we remove them from the list of resellers? Their website looks like they've been taken over by a US webfarmer. I've sent CDs via regular mail to China before but never got a confirmation if they ever made it through customs. Re: OT: large, wireframe Puffy stickers
Hey Steve, https://kd85.com/notforsale.html While browsing through some pictures of one of the OpenBSD events (can't find the link again right this moment) there were a couple of attendees who had large wireframe Puffy stickers on the lid of their laptops. There was also a very large one on the top of a 1U chassis. These were larger, much larger, than what comes with an OpenBSD CD. Google could not tell me where to locate one so I am turning here to ask for a resource. They are transparant stickers for laptops, in black for light and grey surfaces and white for black laptops: http://eurobsd.org/2005-WhatTheHack/reports/wvdputte-20050730/tn/DSC03983.JPG.html Any other surface will work too (like a car) They are now cut out in the shape of the puffy: http://images.kd85.com/notforsale/blowfishsticker.pdf The one on top of the rackmount might have been the one we have lasercut: http://soekris.kd85.com/images/tn/DSC04890.JPG.html but that is just a promo thing for expos, if you stack the rackmounted machines, you don't see much of the top cover ;-) The cases are made by Kerberos in Slovenia, more info can be found on: http://www.kerberos.si/ENG/Soekris19.htm Wim. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= https://kd85.com/notforsale.html --

Re: donation
Dear Greg, following this post http://undeadly.org/cgi?action=articlesid=20060321034114 I wanted to make a donation to the openbsd project. Unfortunatly, paypall does not accept Amex from Belgium. Is there any other way I can make a donation using this type of card? You are far better off to use the donation button on the international website run by the Computershop of Calgary: https://https.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/order -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= https://kd85.com/notforsale.html --

Re: anoncvs prompts for password
Hi, yes, it's correct that I've removed both the anoncvs and openssh access to the machine as it needs to be upgraded. This will probably happen next time I get to Vienna, so around May. In the mean time I will remove the entry from the website to avoid confusion. OpenBSD at What The Hack 2005 Thursday 28 July till Sunday 31 July 2005 Netherlands
(In case you are not aware, What the Hack is a huge open air computerfest that takes place every 4 years in the Netherlands, attracting a fairly alternative crowd of weirdos and slackers, so like every time we just have to be there to re-establish our reputation... This year we'll have more tents and better infrastructure and we'll have have our very own Humppa-Bar!) Hey, Announcing the OpenBSD presence during What The Hack 2005 - Thursday 28 July till Sunday 31 July 2005 All info on http://eurobsd.org/2005-WhatTheHack/ Hello, You might remember us from such mishaps and hangovers like HAL 2001, (see http://eurobsd.org/hal2001/), FOSDEM and CCC SummerCamp 2003 (see http://eurobsd.org/SummerCamp2003/)... Wel, we are at it again. BSD users are invading the What The Hack 2005 event and have claimed an entire field (F) as their little embassy of sanity, lounge and cool drinks. This year we'll have 2 tents, a 200 m^2 one for hacking (tables and couches) and a 100 m^2 one for sleeping only. There is also a container for secure storage of equipment. We'll have a rather large bar, so if you are in good in serving beer or making coctails, volunteer as a bar slave. We'll be providing a roof over the head for any OpenBSD user or developer interested spending 4 days in a field near Den Bosch. Our regards go out to the impressive WtH organisation who secured this great location, with real showers (big deal) and REAL toilets (now that is a relief compared to the solar heated Dixies...) If you are interested in attending this event, please register first with the What the Hack organizers using http://www.whatthehack.org/ Second step is to register your presence in the BSD Village, using the web form at http://eurobsd.org/2005-WhatTheHack/register.html For any questions, please contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] See you on the campground! Wim.
