Re: clamshell ibook trackpad
Hi Nick, Thanks for responding. Unfortunately I am only using base system window managers (twm and fvwm). I believe this is a new feature in the wsmouse or ams layer. But I haven't found any docco yet. Linc On Wed, 2006-02-01 at 00:25 -0500, Nick Guenther wrote: On 1/30/06, LINCOLN RUTLEDGE [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Howdy, I am running 3.9 on my clamshell iBook. Every time I try to move the mouse I'm highlighting, and I haven't outsmarted it yet. The man pages haven't been enlightening yet, inluding adb, ams, wsconsctl. Any hints? I will continue to read docs. Thanks, Linc I don't exactly understand what your problem is, but perhaps it's not a BSD thing you should be looking for. I know in KDE (at least), in the Control Center, there is an option somewhere to configure how the mouse acts (e.g. hover to select vs. click to select). So look in your window manager's options, maybe your solution is there. -Kousu -- ACHTUNG!!! Das machine is nicht fur gefingerpoken und mittengrabben. ssl problem on mozilla and epiphany
Howdy, I am running the 3.8 snapshot on i386 and macppc. I have been getting this alert when connecting to https in epiphany: Could not establish an encrypted connection because certificate presented by www.fastmail.fm is invalid or corrupted. Error Code: -8182 Mozilla HAS been able to connect to https sometimes, but sometimes the process just dies. I wish that was more helpful, but with some testing I haven't nailed down an exact behavior. Running epiphany under ktrace when it gives me the alert message, and greping the kdump, I found something that might be interesting. It looks like there is a problem with the PSM mozilla component. Unfortunately I have no idea where to begin to fix this. Thanks for listening, Linc (sorry about formatting): SSLDisabled=You cannot connect to %S because SSL is disabled. Howdy, I have been using the D-Link DWL-122 usb device, it's a Prism chipset. It works fine on 3.6 and a pre-3.7 snapshot. Frankly this device is old, and only the OpenBSD developers put enough time in it to make a reliable driver. It works intermittently under Linux and locks OSX completely (like reboot fsck). There are faster cheap devices out there now... Linc
Re: Problems on boot
Alex, I have a 586 with an old scuzz card with no boot roms and a couple of error-ful half-height drives. The thing sounds like a jet powered lawnmower when you turn it on. But it works. I simply leave the install floppy in the floppy drive, and when it gets to the boot prompt, I do a 'boot sd0a:bsd' and it boots. Prob solved. Now you might be able to turn your boot capability on in the bios or the scuzz bios. That is up to you to figure out. I just saw the dmesg and you were right. It says that Host adapter Bios disabled. Using default scsi device parameters. So how do I get to enable the scsi adapters bios ? The adapter is AIC-7850 and the hdd is a seagate. Thanks again for the help ! Best Regards Alex Stamatis
