Because this link will rot, and for the audio book readers ``eye poke'',
it shows a yellowish vector drawing of a drunk looking spikey grinning
ball showing thumbs up with the left arm, impersonating our dear Puffy.

Wrong finger. Well this may be approved if you just start from scratch.

You could start by making it invisibly clean transparent, then work up.

You will understand how it does not match style and appearance, compare:

Here's the real clincher, though: Basic gets OpenSSL installed by default.

We're changing version scheme instead. OpenBSD 6.0 will actually be OpenBSD 60.

Roman Numerals would look more distinguished.

OpenBSD LX

If it was good enough for the Romans and the Super Bowl...

Everyone's different, and so different people require different features.
I suggest dividing OpenBSD into a few editions to give people a choice:

OpenBSD 600.0 Home Basic
OpenBSD 600.0 Home Premium
OpenBSD 600.0 Home Standard
OpenBSD 600.0 Home Essentials
OpenBSD 600.0 Home Professional
OpenBSD 600.0 Home Ultimate
OpenBSD 600.0 Professional Basic
OpenBSD 600.0 Professional Premium
OpenBSD 600.0 Professional Standard
OpenBSD 600.0 Professional Essentials
OpenBSD 600.0 Professional Professional
OpenBSD 600.0 Professional Ultimate
OpenBSD 600.0 Enterprise Edition
OpenBSD 600.0 Ultimate Basic
OpenBSD 600.0 Ultimate Premium
OpenBSD 600.0 Ultimate Standard
OpenBSD 600.0 Ultimate Essentials
OpenBSD 600.0 Ultimate Professional
OpenBSD 600.0 Ultimate Ultimate
...

make it more dramatic, call it OpenBSD XP edition

*lol*

It's a pity OpenBSD is released twice a year. Otherwise we could operate
with more logical versions like "OpenBSD 2016 Home Premium Edition".

Of course it is more important than ever to be modern, so I propose we
stop using those aging sequential decimal numbers alltogether and start
using cool nicknames in alfabetical order instead. I present to you:

OpenBSD Chit'lins
OpenBSD Frogmore Stew
OpenBSD Hoppin' John
OpenBSD Jambalaya
OpenBSD Livermush
OpenBSD Red Eye Gravy
OpenBSD Swamp Cabbage

We're changing version scheme instead. OpenBSD 6.0 will actually be OpenBSD 60.

seemingly, the spring was near its end...

Not sure if the new site design going to go anywhere, but it seems like
an alright time to share a little logo I did based on a hackathon
t-shirt graphic. Here's a modified and colorized version of Puffy from
the l2k15 shirt (original design by Markus Hall):
https://u.teknik.io/OEyHA.png

The vector file needs some cleaning up in order to be "perfect", but I
think it looks nice enough when converted to pixels. If anyone likes it
enough I can provide them with all of the files.

I'm not sure how licensing on the artwork works, but considering it's
for the t-shirts, I would assume the OpenBSD project owns the design.
I'll cautiously say "feel free to use it for whatever you want within
the project". If someone else has more info (whether it's okay to use
outside the project as well) let me know.

Thanks,
Joe
