I'm using Nintendo USB Wifi connector, and it works kindly since 3.9-beta, as you can see : $ dmesg | grep ural ural0 at uhub0 port 1 ural0: Nintendo Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, rev 2.00/0.01, addr 2 ural0: MAC/BBP RT2570 (rev 0x05), RF RT2526, address 00:0d:0b:c3:cb:bb Its bundled with a chord that allow you to glue it high on a wall :) I wonder if a PCI-minipci card with a minipci RT25x0 based card might be good for you? Sorry - never mind. I cracked open my case after I got home to verify, and I'm using a v4. v5 must be really new then, because I bought this just a few weeks ago. Because Linksys makes substandard products (much like their mother company Cisco, only cheaper) and have retarded policies? --- Lars Hansson

Can v5 af the card be used with the ral driver? Look at the windows driver for information. Seeing this is not currently available on their site, tell them you lost the cd for your card and want the driver. If the .inf file does not contain the required information, you can look for tidbits in the .sys files with strings. Linksys seem to provide zip or self extracting zips in general so you should be able to get at these files. If not cabextract and unshield from ports can come in handy. 2. Why are such information not available to their customers? Perhaps they want people to buy from them because of their brand name rather than the chipsets they use, which seem to be whatever happens to be cheapest that particular week.

Lasse Bach wrote: Wtf is that? How can that be a secret? Because the WMP54G, at least, isn't manufactured by Linksys, it's a rebadged Lite-On? (Hint: FCC ID) Maybe someone on the mailing list can provide me with an answer to: 1. Can v5 af the card be used with the ral driver? If you can find the FCC ID, you can look it up at https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/cf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm, and then just look at the internal photos. I didn't find anything in a quick Google, but I'm not looking to buy the card so I didn't work that hard. 2. Why are such information not available to their customers? They don't want their customers to know their brand differentiation consists of a sticker?
