currently only mdoc, but i'm hoping to see it expand.

Excellent!  Was this project started in response to the discussion about
groff (in the context of pcc) on Undeadly last November?


Originally, I just wanted to pretty-print mdoc manuals in html/css 
off-line.  The available tools were crummy, so I did the original 
mdocml, but was ugly so I broke the back-end compiler into mdoc(3). 
This allows for any front-end -- mdocterm, the terminal-encoder, seemed 
like it would be the most helpful.
