Someone will correct > me > if I'm wrong. That's correct. And by implication, you can't use config to disable ulpt and use syspatch for kernel patches (because they now rely on KARL relinking). I think the least worst option in this case is probably to build a kernel from source (using a -stable checkout if you're starting from a release). As well as installing the kernel, the "make install" stage will install the link-kit used for KARL, and update kernel.SHA256, in one go.

Think about why the situation occurs in the first place.
