VMware player on OpenBSD host?

2006-11-30 Thread Frank Bax
Does VMware player run on OpenBSD 4.0 host? When I try searching google
for this; all I come up with are some failed attempts in 2003 and many many
OpenBSD guest systems running inside VMware player with another OS as host.

I went ahead and tried running the vmware-install.pl anyway. At the end of
that script; it runs vmware-config.pl - after the question about location
of rmmod, I get:

You are not running Linux. This version of the product only runs on Linux.

I have Linux emulation installed on the system; OOo204 is working (which I
believe uses Linux emulation).

Its quite possible I answered some of the questions to vmware script
incorrectly, does anyone know if the proper procedure is documented anywhere?

No. Only windows and linux. Anything more will require magic hackery,
if it's possible at all.
