relay via smtps by default

2015-07-20 Thread Alan Cheng
Hello list,
I just found out my ISP blocked outbound smtp port, so my rule accept for any
relay doesn't work. Went through the man page and looks to me there is no way
to configure opensmtpd to use port smtps by default.
I'll check with my ISP to open outbound smtp port, but I'm just curious if we
could do that with OpenSMTPD.

Thanks!Alan

yeah, using smart host would work around the issue. actually I use smart host
for one of my domains.
I just want to see if there is  any configurations that can acheive this
without a smart host.

Thanks.

If you are using say a remote smart host, mandrill, gmail etc, youmight want to
look at relay via (in smtpd.conf(5)).  This will giveyou different port options
to bypass your ISPs 'block out to any portsmtp'.
Cheers,
Jason.
