[mlpack] GSoC 2023 Proposal Idea

Hello Everyone,
I am Aryaman SIngh Fauzdar, a third-year BTech Computer Science Student at
Manipal University Jaipur with a passion for software development and
Open-Source Contribution. I am writing to express my interest in
participating in the Google Summer of Code Program this year.

I have a keen interest towards Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine
Learning and Data Visualization. Have programming experience in languages
including Python (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Dash,
Scikit-Learn etc), C++, JavaScript and well-versed with tools like Git,
GitHub, Jupyter Notebook, MySQL and also love problem-solving and critical
thinking. I am passionate about Open Source and spreading awareness amongst
everyone regarding the same. I have participated in Open Source Programs
like Social Winter Of Code 3.0 held this year. I have also done a few Data
Science and Machine learning projects like House Price Prediction , Movie
Recommendation System, Crime Detection using Facial Recognition, Olympics
Data Analysis Dashboard and many more to come, which have provided a
wonderful platform for me to work over bigger projects.

I am familiar with your organization and the fantastic work you have been
doing in the open-source community. I am particularly interested in the
"Visualization Tool" project under the MLPack organization. I believe that
participating in this project will enable me to gain valuable experience
and contribute to the development of innovative solutions and will prove to
be an asset to your organization.

Looking forward to connecting with the mentors for a better understanding
of the project and some resources to learn since I am new to the process of
GSOC.

[mlpack] GSoC Proposal Idea

Hello everyone,

My name is Suvarsha Chennareddy and I’ve been contributing to mlpack for a
while now. I would love to take part in GSoC 2023 and learn a great deal
more from the mentors.

I have looked at the project ideas list and am interested in taking up Enhance
CMA-ES
. I
have a related PR (An attempt to fix the current CMAES inconsistencies
) open which is currently
under review. My plan is to get this current PR merged and then start
working on the main elements of the project like implementing SaACM-ES,
IPOP-CMA-ES, and Active-CMA-ES. I could incorporate negative weights into
the current CMA-ES implementation as well. I will definitely add to the
list if I find anything else fitting. Of course, I will be including
everything in my proposal.

If there aren’t any objections to my choice, I’ll start working on a
proposal right away.
