Not French exclusively, anyone can show up and present there.

Perhaps no MLUG - "branded" meetups are organized but there are LOTS of
opportunities to meet and share with other people what you're doing.

A few years ago this group actually organised meetings, but lately no

Back in the early 2000's I think it was with the Nick's and Jared and Jimmy and
the whole gang back then, we use to have regular meetings.
I would love to see it come back alive, and I am willing to help in as much as
I can.

I would be willing to setup a meeting at my shop and do a presentation on
Linux, LinuxCNC and just Linux in general talking to external hardware
components. I can do machine presentations running linux and I am in the
process of retrofitting a Huge machine now so you would get to see and interact

I don’t know if there would be interest in such a meeting but I am willing to
do this. Only issue is my shop is in the Repentigny area. Actually it is in
L'Assomption which is just east of Repentigny.

Is something that might spark some interest of the users?

Because no one wants to bother organizing it. When meetings are held people do
show up. There are a bunch of people reading this list. All MLUG needs is one
person willing to organize some stuff and it would come back to life.

I run the website (such as it is) and would be happy to give admin rights to

This mailing list is alive, but not very active. Occasionally someone
announces a meeting considered relevant to Linux users; sometimes asks a
question. Often there's a short flurry of messages in response. People do
read it.

This is a good place to ask questions like, Where in Montreal can I buy a
machine that will actually run Linux and not be locked down to Windows or
Android or something.

A few years ago this group actually organised meetings, but lately no one has
been doing that.
