[mnemosyne-proj-users] Unexpected error on startup
Hi guys, unexpected error, maybe it occured, because I've started mnemosyne twice. Normally I get the message Another copy of mnemosyne is already running, but not this time. I do use the Python client, this might be the reason, too. An unexpected error has occurred. [mnemosyne-proj-users] driver problems?
I'm a new user, creating cards to study Lebanese Arabic. Just downloaded version 2.3 for Mac. Running OSX 10.92. Whenever I click on browse I get a message Database error. Driver not loaded. Driver not loaded. Then Mnemosyne closes. What is this? Am I supposed to have a driver. I think I saw a similar query in the forum, and the recommendation was to re-download, and make sure one had the newest version. So I did - my previous version was 2.18 or something. Exact same problem with 2.3. What's up? Also every time I open it I get a tip. If I click on the button to not show tips, nothing happens, same if I click on the button to close the tip. (If I click on the red dot in the upper right, the tip window does close.) Any way to stop seeing tips? I have read the documentation, didn't find any answers to the driver problem. Hi Gnome, since the file sizes of the databases on the desktop pc and the android client seem to be the same, you could probably just upload the database to you smartphone. You would only have to set your smartphone in usb debug mode and copy the files (the smartphone will be displayed as harddisk. Alternatively you could use the Android software SyncMe and sync over WLAN. I haven't tried it, therefore you should make a backup, before you try it! Hi, The program also gives you to opportunity to sync when starting it. So, just kill the Python scripts and restart it. There is a problem with the 2.3 mac installer, which Patrick is working on. The previous version (2.2.1) should work, though. Hi, Not sure what you mean by Python client, as all versions are based on Python. Does the problem go away if you only start a single instance? Thank, Peter! How can I find 2.2.1? When I google it, I get 2.3 Also I had an earlier version before 2.3 - maybe 2.18? I had the exact same error in that version.
