[Mobile.AI] Best Android JB phone with Quad Core processor in the price range 10000 12000?

2013-06-27 Thread Mahesh S. Panicker
Hello listers. As the subject line indicates, I would like to know
which phone would you recommend with specifications of Android JB 4.2
as well as a quad core processor? I am looking at a price range of
1-12000. I would increase it a bit if a really better option gets
available.
Looking forward to your suggestions,

  Hello

I don't know if I am already subscribed to this list yet or not?

Anyhow, I have managed to destroyed my last Nokia E 63. Now I have to buy a

which I got from Sakshum last year. It is 5. Something.

  Please advice.

  Warm regards

Hi,

I don't really know whether this would be of some help but there was a news
a few weeks ago about Google launching Stock keyboard. IF anyone has tried
this may please share. Further, I wish to know if installing that keyboard
would solve the dialing problem.

hello, I am particularly impressed with the spec sheet of xolo q700 and
micromax canvas 2 a110Q. both cost under 10k. But one has to try the
handsets first specially xolo one as it is comparitively a newer brand.
As far as the accessibility of the dialer is concerned, you can use 'dw
contacts and dialer which is a very powerful app fulfilling all
requirements for contacts/dialer.

Hello this is the way it is. For disconnecting call, one has to swipe
right to left. It works this way on ics and below. I think it does
not work on jb. So one has to put up with this at least for the time
being. You can also install shake to call application and many more
such applications are their on play store for managing call functions.

stops, but the actual call doesn't disconnect. another thing that if
I call to somebody and when it first rings, then if I press power
button, then it disconnects properly, but in running call, when
after finishing the conversation, if I press this button, it doesn't
disconnect.

Then you should try hanging the call while keeping the phone away
from your ear. I too, faced such issue and later adjusted the same
by applying the same method. To me, it is the Proximity sensor
which is preventing the power key to function.

Hi,

I don't really know whether this would be of some help but there was
a news a few weeks ago about Google launching Stock keyboard. IF
anyone has tried this may please share. Further, I wish to know if
installing that keyboard would solve the dialing problem.

Hi,

I don't really know whether this would be of some help but there was a
news a few weeks ago about Google launching Stock keyboard. IF anyone
has

tried this may please share. Further, I wish to know if installing that
keyboard would solve the dialing problem.

features to the latest Samsung Galaxy S 4 at half the price. Any idea
whether Samsung has got any JB phone with a quad core processor under

Hello this is the way it is. For disconnecting call, one has to swipe
right to left. It works this way on ics and below. I think it does
not work on jb. So one has to put up with this at least for the time
being. You can also install shake to call application and many more
such applications are their on play store for managing call functions.

Then you should try hanging the call while keeping the phone away
from your ear. I too, faced such issue and later adjusted the same
by applying the same method. To me, it is the Proximity sensor
which is preventing the power key to function.

Hi satguru it is ironical indeed. But consider the issues related to
explore by touch which is compulsary for us but also presents a lot of
challenges for input methods. otherwise the swipe and swift keyboards
also would be accessible. So these guys are really serious about
accessibility and have always replied to my queries. since it is still
in beta and that too only for limited audience, let's hope the first
release to the play store will be compatible with talkback.

 Hi,

I don't really know whether this would be of some help but there was a
news a few weeks ago about Google launching Stock keyboard. IF anyone
 has

tried this may please share. Further, I wish to know if installing that
keyboard would solve the dialing problem.

Thank you Ishita. So what accessible dialer can I consider? I read
somewhere that Micromax is launching a smartphone that has similar
features to the latest Samsung Galaxy S 4 at half the price. Any idea
whether Samsung has got any JB phone with a quad core processor under
 15000?

I will miss symbian because there is no other operating system and
screen reader's combination which is 100% accessible. In android you
will not find a good handset with physical keypad, the voice of screen
reader is not too clear as talks. When the basic features of the phone
will not be much accessible, what is the use of aditional lakhs of

2013-06-27 Thread Aruni Sharma
Hi, since so many people have invested in talks and nokia phones, they
are genuinely worried about the future. But as long as second hand nokia
phones are available and as long as people are using their older nokia
phones for fulfilling their needs, discussions will take place as to how
best these devices can be used. But that should not prevent us from
moving forward and also we can't go on basking in the glory of the past.
After nokia accessibility of mobile phones has undergone a sea change.
We have to use our phones in a totally new way. People depending on
nokia phones will have to move to a new platform once their phones are
damaged beyond repair.
Although blackberry has also come up with accessibility solution, one
has to experiment and see if it can serve their requirements. But so far
it has not picked up and has not become popular with the users.
blackberry phones have the advantage of a physical qwerty keypad.

There is no screen reader for the current blackberry phones. The
blackberry phones that could run the blackberry screen reader are
probably too old to be worth considering.
